          Job Description:

          Reports to a Laboratory Manager or Supervisor.  Receives general supervision from Pathologists, Director, Lead Medical Technologist, Technical Supervisors, Shift Supervisors, and Medical Technologists.  Receives supervision in computer activities from the Specialist, Lab Information Systems.

          Job Requirements:

          For MLT position; Associate’s degree from a two (2) year Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) program approved by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences or equivalent

          For MT position;

          Bachelor’s degree and Medical Technology (MT) certification with American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent.  Must meet the minimum requirements of the Clinical Laboratory Act of 1988.  

          Registered or eligible for registry as MLT  or MT (ASCP) or equivalent.
