          Job Details:
          The Clinical Informatics Specialist is primarily responsible for using a structured problem solving method to identify and clarify issues and select, develop, implement and evaluate informatics solutions. The informatics role helps integrate health science, computer science, and information science to manage and communicate data, information and knowledge in clinical practice. The roles of a clinical informatics specialist include project manager, consultant, educator, researcher, product developer, decision support/outcomes manager, advocate/policy developer. Supports SJMC, SJO, SJBA, SJS, JPMC & outlying facilities as needed.

          Education/Experience: Undergraduate degree in clinical or other relevant health administrative field required. Minimum of 3 years of clinical or other relevant health administration
          experience, experience in the management of Clinical Information Systems preferred, training and
          experience using medical informatics, information systems and medical terminologies required, Cerner
          experience preferred.

          Licensure/Certification: Licensed clinical provider or professional certification as RN, RPH, MD, PA, RHIA preferred. Demonstrated progress toward relevant clinical certification in informatics preferred.

          Knowledge/Skills: Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and organizational skills. Strong PC and software skills, including email, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word. Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user friendly language. Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to evaluate, document and refine clinical and administrative processes. Educator, communicator, change agent, leadership skills, role model, self-motivated, creative.
